Mrs. Irene Marie (Goulet) Poirier, 92, a resident of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home. Born in Lawrence, MA., Mrs. Poirier was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She had been employed at Gillette in Andover for some 20 years before she retired. Prior to that she had worked for many Shoe Shops in the area. Members of Mrs. Poirier's family include: a son: Ronald J. Poirier and his wife Frances of Haverhill, MA. two grandchildren: Ronald Jr. of Newburyport, MA. and Craig of West Newbury, MA. as well as 1 great granddaughter: Veronica Poirier. Mrs. Poirier is also survived by brothers: Roland Goulet of Methuen, MA. and Raymond Goulet of Portsmouth, NH. as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial were private.
