Mrs. Irene C. (Cormier) Gallant, 83, a resident of Methuen, MA., passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence. Born in Lawrence, Mrs. Gallant was educated in the local schools. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish-St. Theresa's Church in Methuen. Mrs. Gallant enjoyed cooking and adored her great-granddaughter Emma. The widow of Earl J. Gallant, family members include: her son: Donald W. Gallant and his wife Marie (L'Italien) Gallant of Methuen, MA. grandchildren: Tracy L. (Gallant) Swiniarski and her husband Scott Swiniarski of North Andover, MA. as well as Christopher J. Gallant of Methuen, MA. a great granddaughter: Emma Swiniarski of North Andover, MA. as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish-St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St. in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, MA. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
