Henry T. Grenier's Obituary
Mr. Henry T. Grenier, 88, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 at the Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, Massachusetts. Mr. Grenier was born on January 11th, 1920 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Florida (Oliver) Grenier. He attended Sacred Heart Schools in Lawrence, MA. He was a parishioner of Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA. and served in the United States Army Infantry during WWII. While serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Grenier recieved the Combat Infantryman Badge in February 1945, was station in Ardennes Thineland Central Europe, he received the Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart GO 8 Hq 76 Infantry Division in February 1945 and the World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Grenier worked for Craig Systems, where he built Government Shelters, he worked there for some 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed gardening, puzzles and was a Handy man around the house. His family members include: Wife: Married to Mrs. Sarah F. (Zalar) Grenier since 1947 Son: Wayne M. Grenier and his wife Susan M. of Salem, NH Daughter: Donna M. Evers of Lawrence, MA. Grandchildren: Nicole Grenier of Salem, NH Danielle Evers of Lawrence, MA Eric Evers and Adam Evers both of Lawrence, MA. Great Grandson: Blake McFarland of Salem, NH Brother: Wallace Grenier and his wife Joanne of Emmett, Idaho Sisters: Rita and her husband Benjamin Sangquedolce of Methuen, MA. and Antoinette Doiron and her husband Laurea of Florida Sisters-in-law: Mrs. Alice Grenier of Salem, NH and Josephine Boutin of North Andover, MA Brother of the late: Mr. William Grenier As well as several nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 1st, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence, MA. His burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
