Helen "Nellie" (O'Sullivan) Wazlaw's Obituary
Helen "Nellie" (O'Sullivan) Wazlaw, 90, a current resident of Brentwood, N.H. and a former lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA. passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Facility in Brentwood. Born July 31, 1918 in Newmarket, Ireland, Mrs. Wazlaw came to the Lawrence area in 1921. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in 1936 and then went on to attend McIntosh Business College. Mrs. Wazlaw was retired from the Internal Revenue Service where she had worked as an Auditor for some 25 years. The daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Foley) O'Sullivan, and the widow of James S. Wazlaw, her husband of 51 years as well as retired Lawrence Firefighter who died in January of 1998, family members include: sons: James Wazlaw and his wife Mary Ellen of Portland, OR. and Brian Wazlaw and his wife Roxanne of Portsmouth, NH a brother: John O'Sullivan and a sister Anna Zahn both of Methuen, MA. a sister-in-law: Catherine O'Sullivan of Salem, NH grandchildren: Kristen Wazlaw of Ecuador, Sean Wazlaw of Ventura, CA, Amy Ramirez of Long Beach, CA, and Mark McGillivray of Charleston, SC as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wazlaw is also survived by long time friends: Charles and Mary Lou Boddy as well as Frank LaVello all of Lawrence, MA. Funeral Services and burial are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made in her memory to the James S.
