Helen M. Kennedy's Obituary
Helen M. Kennedy, 101, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, died at home on Monday, December 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence on September 11, 1920 to Richard and Hannah Shomo. She attended St. Patrick's grammar school, and graduated from Lawrence High School & McIntosh Business School in Lawrence.
She loved to spend summers at the family beach house in Salisbury, MA with her family and friends.
She is the wife of the late William D. Kennedy to whom she was married for 67 years. She is survived by her loving daughters Kathleen Kennedy of Lawrence, Donna and her husband Kenneth Lamontagne of Andover and Patricia Kennedy of Lawrence, as well as grandchildren Laura Lamontagne, Donna Noth, Leo Lamontagne and William Lamontagne and two great-grandchildren Abigail O’Connor and Kennedy Noth. Also survived by her sister-in-law Maureen Halloran and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Mary Sullivan, Rita Meyer, and sister-in-law Dolores Kennedy.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:30AM at St. Augustine Chapel at our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 128 Ames Street, Lawrence, MA, 01841. A burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
