Helen J Goulet's Obituary
Helen J. (Matthes) Goulet, 92, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lawrence and was educated in the local schools. Helen was an attendant of Lawrence High School. She had worked as an assembler of Gould-Modicon in Andover prior to her retirement. She had previously worked in the Merrimac Mills in Lawrence. Helen was a member of the 55 and over club and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She also volunteered her time to work Bingo and Sacred Heart Church. Helen enjoyed being home with her children.
Her family members include her Daughter Barbara A. Goulet and her spouse Robert Gitschier of Centreville, VA, her sons: Robert G. Goulet and his wife Maureen of Dracut, MA, Wayne R. Goulet of Lawrence, MA
Grandchildren: Jonathan Goulet and his wife Sheila of Texas, Peter M. Goulet of Dracut, MA., Michael Goulet and his wife Inez of Haverhill, MA and Christopher Goulet of Lowell, MA.
Great grandchildren: Cecilia Goulet, Isabella Goulet, Anastasia Goulet, and Freya Goulet all of Haverhill, MA. Christian James Goulet of Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Edward Matthes, Raymond Matthes, Joseph Matthes, William Matthes and Ralph Matthes, Dorothy Matthes and Doris Dubois.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Patrick’s Church in Lawrence, MA.
