Harriet E. Vallee's Obituary
Harriet E. (Houseman) Vallee, 79, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill MA.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Harriet came to Lawrence at a very young age. She was a graduate of the Weatherbee Grammar School and Lawrence High School. Harriet started as an excellent switchboard operator and then went on to work as a Personal Care Homemaker for the disabled and the elderly. She worked weekends as a figure skating instructor with children and teenagers for the Methuen Figure Skating Club and the Newburyport Figure Skating Club. Harriet enjoyed going to the movies and listening to 1980’s music. She was an avid animal lover, especially cats. Harriet will be remembered as a loving mother.
The daughter of the late Edna (Fallon) Van Annan, Harriet was predeceased by her son Roger Rosmarino, brothers Guy and Geoffrey Houseman, and aunts Mildred, and Grace Fallon as well as Dorothy Ramsden. Members of her family include her daughter Roberta G. Alexopoulos and her husband Frank A. Alexopoulos of East Boston, MA, as well as Frank’s extended family. Harriet is also survived by her aunt Natalie Worsman of Yarmouth Port, MA, as well and a niece and nephews: Tanya Watson and Glen Houseman of Virginia Beach, VA, and Tom Houseman of Haverhill, MA. A special thanks goes out to the nurses and staff at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center for their special care and kindness extended to Harriet.
Funeral services will be private.
