Harold E. Cole's Obituary
Harold Cole, 96, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the M.I. Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence.
Born in Methuen, MA, Harold was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Harold was retired from the Charles River Breeding Lab in Wilmington, MA where he had worked for 20 years. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he had served over in Japan. Harold was an avid Red Sox fan and had been a pen pal of former Red Sox manager Lou Gorman who would send him tickets to games for many years. He also enjoyed fishing with his children when he was younger.
The son of the late John and Nora (Moylan) Cole and the widower of Helen C. (Roberge) Cole, family members include his sons: Daniel Cole and his wife Lynne of Fitchburg, MA, as well as John Cole and William Cole both of Dracut, MA. Harold is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His services will be private.
