In Loving Memory of Gloria Rivera Pabon
November 16, 1932 – September 8, 2025
Gloria Rivera Pabon, born in Villalba, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully in Woodbridge, Virginia. A long-time resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, Gloria was a woman of deep faith, boundless generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her parents were Josefa Colon and Vicente Pabon and her husband Domingo Rivera.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Juanita (Rivera) Campana; her cherished granddaughters, Kelsey Leanne Campana, Kaylee Rebecca Campana, and Elyse Naveah Campana; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Sophia Carroll, Mila Campana Johnson, and Liam Walker. Gloria also leaves behind her loving sister, Aida Ortiz, and many nieces and nephews—seven of whom she helped raise with care and compassion.
She was predeceased by her siblings Jose V. Pabon, Francisco Pabon, and Eliodora Pabon.
Gloria was a loving mother, doting grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. Her passion was her family and helping others. She lived by her favorite quote: “Do good to others no matter who it is.” Her kindness and selflessness touched everyone she met.
A woman of great faith, Gloria found spiritual comfort in her recent studies with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed reading the Bible, reflecting on scripture, and watching her favorite show, Caso Cerrado. In her later years, she found unexpected joy in the companionship of her family's pets—mini schnauzers Papi and Monty, and cat Chloe—whom she lovingly called her protectors.
Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
