Gertrude Garneau, 82, a resident of Methuen, MA, died on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess in Boston. She was born July 22, 1928 in Montmagny, Canada, to: Joseph & Philomini (Lemieu) La Pointe. She worked as a Hair Dresser for many years until her retirement. She loved to sew and oil paint as her favorite hobbies. She leaves her loving husband: Roger J. Garneau Sr. she is the mother of the late: Roger J. Garneau, Jr. She also leaves a sister Rita Langevin of Canada, and a brother Joseph LaPointe of Canada, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA., Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00AM. A burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
