George E. Masters Jr.'s Obituary
George E. Masters, Jr., 78, of Chelmsford, MA, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA. He was the beloved son of the late George and Eleanor (O'Connor) Masters of Andover, MA. George's early years were spent in Medford, MA, where he graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge. After graduating, George enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. After being honorably discharged, George became a cement mason and a proud member of Local Union 534, even serving as a shop steward. After retiring, George discovered immense joy in spending quality time with his beloved nieces and nephews. Whether they were playing video games, tossing the football, watching football, or playing card games, these special moments created invaluable memories that will forever be cherished. His devotion to his family, driven by his caring and compassionate nature, left an indelible impression on their lives. George is survived by his sisters, Barbara Graffeo and her husband, Joseph, Virginia Masters, and Kathleen Beaulieu and her husband, Ray. He joins his siblings, Robert Masters and Mary Zimmerman, in eternal peace. A private wake was held at John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., in North Andover.
