George B. Haddad's Obituary
Mr. George B. Haddad, 83, of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 surrounded by his family at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. He was born on April 20th, 1928 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, son of the late Joseph and Martha (Hajjar) Haddad. Mr. Haddad was educated in the Methuen Schools and later attended various trade schools including the Wentworth School in Boston, MA. He was an attendant of Saint Georges Orthodox Church on Lowell Street in Lawrence, MA. Mr. Haddad served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for 40 years in Construction and most recently he worked with Target Construction as the Chief Estimator in Salem, New Hampshire. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards with family and friends, traveling to Las Vegas and to the Dominican Republic. His family members include: His sister: Clara B. Coutermarsh of Methuen, MA His sister-in-law: Eleanor Haddad of Methuen, MA. Nephews: Bruce Samia of CA and Joseph and his wife Maria Haddad of Methuen, MA. Nieces: Joyce Kelly of Missouri and Joanne Britt of Methuen, MA. As well as several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Brother of the late: Edward Haddad, Dee Haddad, Edna Haddad and Mary Samia, and his late brother-in-law: Dearborn Samia His funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Georges Orthodox Church on Lowell Street in Lawrence, MA. His burial will follow in the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, MA.
