Gemma Marie Stolarz's Obituary
METHUEN, MA- Gemma Marie (Hoyt) Stolarz, 75, of Methuen, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at High Pointe House in Haverhill.
Gemma was born on May 23, 1943 to the late Thomas and Margaret Hoyt and was educated in Lawrence. She married her next door neighbor and sweetheart, Walter Stolarz in 1963 and together raised four daughters.
She owned several local businesses including a sandwich shop across from Lawrence High School and operated American Hearing Aid Center in Methuen with her husband and daughters for 30 years. Her favorite pastimes were her devotion to her faith and bragging about her grandchildren, whom she loved so much.
Gemma is predeceased by husband Walter E. Stolarz and daughter Cathleen Haigh. She is survived by her brother James Hoyt, daughters Patricia Stolarz of Haverhill, Maryanne and her husband David Enright of Berwick, Maine; Christine Giarrosso and her husband Frank Majewski of Methuen; son in law Thomas Giarrosso; six grandchildren, Connor Ginsberg, Brendan Stolarz, Hannah Ginsberg, Nicole Bouley, Abigail Giarrosso, and Emily Enright; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her sister Patricia Phillip and brothers George and Thomas Hoyt.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at 11:30AM at St Michael’s Church in North Andover, with a burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5PM to 7PM. At the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St. North Andover, MA.
