Mr. Robert B. ?Pete? Roy, 85, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2017. Born in Lawrence, MA on July 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Rene P. and Rita (Bourget) Roy. He graduated from St. Theresa?s Grammar School in Methuen, Read Obituary
We at the Lawrence History Center are so sorry for the loss of Pete. He made tremendous contributions to our organization (then known as Immigrant City Archives), by interviewing Lawrence WWII veterans for our oral history collection and WWII exhibit. These interviews are still used today by those wanting to learn about Lawrence and the WWII experience. It was our honor to work with Pete. Again, please accept our deepest sympathies.

My condolences to Pete's family. I know that the Lawrence History Center was very fortunate to have him as a volunteer because we both were members of the team that collected the oral histories of Lawrence World War II veterans.
