Frieda A. Ripa's Obituary
Frieda A. (Ganimy) Ripa, 92, a former resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Prescott House in North Andover surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence, Frieda was educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She had worked for over 50 years in Customer Service lastly working for Anthony and Malcolm Insurance Agency in Bradford, MA. Frieda was exceptionally devoted to her family and loved to cook. Going to “Mimi’s” house is a treasured memory of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The devoted wife of the late Salvatore P. Ripa who passed away December 13, 2015 after 69 years of marriage, family members include her daughters Rosanne Ripa and her wife Susan Tarplin of Northboro, MA, Marianne Collupy and her husband David of Bradford, MA, and Diane Laroche and her husband Pierre of Georgia, VT. She is also survived by a sister Jeanette Caux of Atkinson, NH, grandchildren: David, Kelly, Jill, Scott, Derek, Cady and Jeremy, great grandchildren: Joseph, Natalia, Owen, Jade, Daisy, Chloe, Scarlett, Dale and Rowan as well as 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Frieda was predeceased by her sister Mary A. Ganimy as well as her brother-in-law Ronald Caux.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Prescott House for their devoted care especially Dora who holds a special place in Frieda’s heart.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
