Frank J. Rozmus' Obituary
Frank J. Rozmus, 83 a lifelong resident of Lawrence died peacefully on Saturday, July 20 at MGH, Boston, MA.
He was born in West Rutland, VT on April 9, 1936 and was the son of the late William and Mary (Hyjek) Rozmus of Lawrence, MA.
Frank was a parishioner of the Assumption BVM Church, and attended schools in Lawrence before joining the Army National Guard. He was employed at Malden Mills for a number of years, and was an active member of the Laborers Local 175 Union.
Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years, along with playing a good game of 45’s. He was a Boston sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, and Celtics.
He will fondly be remembered as “Frankie Baby” and “Cadillac Frank” to those closest to him, and for his keen sense of humor and infectious laugh.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home for their compassion and love that they gave to Frank.
Frank is survived by his children Lisa (Rozmus) Edwards, and her husband Greg of Derry, NH, Wendy (Rozmus) Hurley of Leominster, MA, Joseph Rozmus and his partner Heather Monroe of Rye, NH. His sister Mary Jane (Rozmus) Fournier of Lawrence, and Sally (Rozmus) Gallagher of Plum Island. He was pre-deceased by his sister Louise (Rozmus) Beal in 1991.
Grandchildren Heather Beth Rozmus, and her partner Chris Foster of Lowell, Matthew McManamon and his partner Monica McNamara of Fitchburg, Melanie McManamon of Lebanon, NH, Emily (McManamon) Cook, and her husband John of Fitzwilliam, NH, Sheena (Rozmus) Collupy and her husband Derek of Bradford, Joseph Rozmus II and his wife Jen (Diaz) of Sandown, NH, great-grandchildren, Spencer, London, Jade, Scarlett, Mia, Layla, Aubrey, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends.
A funeral mass will celebrated in Franks name on Thursday, July 25th, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill St. Lawrence. Committal services will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, July 24th, 2019 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA.
