Elizabeth A. Couture's Obituary
Elizabeth A. (Buka) Couture passed away at her home in the presence of her loving family on June 5, 2023.
The daughter of the late Benjamin and Susan (Sullivan) Buka, she was born on August 16, 1943, at the Clover Hill Hospital in Methuen, MA and lived in the Lawrence and Methuen area for most of her life. After graduating from Tenney High School she married Roger J. Couture, her loving husband of 60 years. “Betty” as she was known by her friends and family was employed at Western Electric in North Andover and later Parlex in Methuen, but her favorite job was being a homemaker and caring for her family. Betty was the sweetest and most loving and caring person you could ever meet and all who knew her will sorely miss her not being here on this earth.
Betty is predeceased by her husband Roger J. Couture, brother James Buka and brother Bill Buka. She will forever be missed by her daughter Regina Luciano and her husband Paul; daughter Renee Lavoie and her husband Yves, a son Roger Couture and his wife Laurie as well as grandchildren: Eddie, Joey, Paul, Shayna, Hayley, Alec, Kayla and Rylee; great granddaughter Ava; brother Richard Buka; sister Janet Elsesser; and sister-in-law Cathy Buka.
