Eileen P. Powers' Obituary
Eileen P. Powers, beloved daughter of Maurice & Mary Powers, fomerly of Lawrence, died peacfully in her sleep at Penacook Place in Haverhill, MA early Saturday, July 24, 2010 morning. She would have been 90 years old in November. Eileen was in essence, the second mother to the Madigan Family and their sons: Joseph, Robert, John, Gary, and Edmund Madigan. For over 30 years Eileen worked at the North Andover Branch of Western Electric until her retirement. She maintained her home in Methuen, MA, and the focal point of many family get-togethers. Generous to a fault, soft spoken, and loving as only as she could be, Eileen became the center of the family since her siblings passed away. She is survived by her nephews: Joseph, Robert, & Gary Madigan also Edmund, Robert, Jeannette & Mary Powers and countless nieces and nephews. Eileen was pre-deceased by her brother: Edmund Powers of Dover, NH, by sisters: Rita Powers Madigan, Marie Powers Ferrari, Her nephew: John Kevin Madigan of Boxford, MA. Friends and family are invited to attend a grave side service on Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at 1:30PM at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
