Edward R. Mannion's Obituary
Edward R Mannion, 74, a resident of Lawrence died at his home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born and educated in Lawrence, a graduate of Lawrence High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, having served on the USS Walworth County (LST-1164). He worked as a Regional Manager for the United Foam Company in Haverhill for 25 years until his retirement. He was an avid Red Sox fan and was a lifelong member of the Rocky Club in Lawrence. He loved to dance which coined his nickname, "Fast Eddie."
He is the husband of the late Margaret (Martin) Mannion and is survived by his daughter Kathleen Mannion, son Edward and wife Wendy of Londonderry, NH, sons & daughters: Marty Mannion, Brenda Mannion, Steve Mannion and Paul Mannion all of Lawrence Margaret Barker of Florida as well as 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Pamela Martin.
His funeral will be celebrated on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 9 AM in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen and a committal service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Chapel in Lawrence.
Friends and family may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
