Edward Arthur Gervais' Obituary
In loving memory of Eddie Gervais with heavy hearts we announce his unexpected passing on April 27, 2024. He grew up in Lawrence, MA and had lived most recently in Townsend, MA and Salem, NH. He was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical High School in the year 2001.
He was a man of many talents. Some of his favorite things to do included cooking, fishing, hunting, chopping wood, meeting people, going to the beach, roofing, working on vehicles, biking, gardening, woodworking and doing all this with his dog, Kayla, by his side. He could talk to anyone he met and if you needed anything he wouldn't hesitate to help. Many people say he would give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by his father, Arthur Gervais, his sister Melissa Gervais and his mother & step-father Karen and Robert Deshaies all of NH. He is also survived by his step siblings Aaron, Renee, and Scott Deshaies of NH. His extended family of Aunts and Uncles; Louise Di Mario, Helga McAvoy, Nancy & Dennis Olisky, Susan & Larry Fitzgerald, Wayne & Nancy McAvoy, Cheryl & Riney Lochmann, Anna Gervais and Paul Gervais; along with many many cousins and friends.
He was also predeceased by his grandparents; Georgianna & Romeo Gervais and Helen & Edward McAvoy. Also, Uncle Dennis McAvoy, Aunt and Uncle Jeanne & Jack Taylor, Uncle John Di Mario, Aunt and Uncle Lorraine & Albert Gervais, Uncle George Gervais, Aunt Janet Gervais and cousins Kevin Gervais, Patrick McAvoy, and Raymond Jandreau, Michael Di Mario.
Arrangements: Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 12pm to 4pm followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, 122 Amesbury St Lawrence, MA 01841.
