I send my deepest condolences to young Alan and his family at this very difficult time. I feel very blessed to have so many wonderful memories of growing up around both your Dad and your Mom and will truly miss them forever.
Dr. Miller was our family Dr. And I loved this man so much. I was a lawrence mailman whose route was in methuen, and I remember driving down Jackson St every morning to go to my route on the east end. Who would be coming the other direction heading to lawrence in a range rover ? Dr Miller, always with a big wave, returned by me. It made me feel so good to know that this incredible Dr. Actually took the time to really know and acknowledge his patients. I have the upmost respect for this kind dedicated man. My deepest sympathy to the Miller family.
I have many wonderful memories of Dr.Miller both as a patient and as a colleague when I worked at Lawrence General Hospital for ten years in the social work department. Dr. Miller was always, always available to take on the most difficult patients and treat them with the greatest respect. He never said no even if the patient was not able to pay or had no insurance. He was always highly respected by the medical community professionals. As a patient he always let me know what to expect and I could trust him to be truthful with me. I know his family will miss him and I hope they will celebrate his life and continue to share his memories with all. God bless his soul as he goes on to be with his creator.
Sorry for your loss. Dr. Miller was my family Dr. For many years. He was a great Doctor and a wonderful man. When he retired it was a great loss.
Sorry to hear about Dr. Millers passing. He was my family octor for many years. He was a great person and doctor. We really missed him when he retired.
To the Miller Family: As a new graduate nurse in 1983, hearing the booming voice of "Dr. Miller" over the telephone would literally cause my heart to stop. My first job was at Town Manor Nursing Home in Lawrence, strategically located on Lowell Street next to the fire station and across from the police station. When I met Dr. Miller in PERSON I was even MORE intimidated by his sheer presence because he was so OMINOUS. He was always kind and patient with me, and over the years I realized he was actually a gentle giant. Thirty some odd years later, I still like to tell my new "grad" nurses of Dr. Miller and how "scared" I was of him, and how eventually he taught me how to become a "real" nurse. I am sure I am just a drop in the ocean of lives he has touched, but I wanted to share with you what a wonderful, thoughtful man he was, and I send my deepest condolences on the loss of such a wonderful physician and man.
