Doris I. (Bernard) Roy's Obituary
Doris Irene (Bernard) Roy, 81, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover.
She was born in Methuen on May 20, 1940, daughter of the late Armand and Ruth (Fieldsend) Bernard. Doris was educated in the Methuen Schools and was a graduate of Tenney High School class of 1958.
Doris worked over 20 years as an Inspector for E.J.’s Systems. She enjoyed playing 45’s with her friends and enjoy watching her favorite jockey ride (son-in-law) at Rockingham Park. Doris loved to visit Casino’s and enjoyed going to Bingo with her friend Jane. She enjoyed sitting by the pool at her son’s house and loved her food. Doris was the type of person to put everyone else first before herself.
Doris’s family would like to extend special thanks to the Prescott House Nursing Home and Compassus Hospice for the compassion and kindness they showed during her stay.

Her Sisters: Shirley Mosque of Methuen, MA, June Finocchiaro and her husband Thomas of No. Andover, MA., Jacqueline Bernard of Dracut, MA.
Her close friends Virginia Stefanilo of Derry, NH
And Nancy Keraghan of Freemont, NH. As well as several nieces and nephews and her Cat Bill, who she loved.
Sister of the late Alice Barbeau, Beverly Bernard, Marie Lacroix, and Edward Bernard.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, September 19th, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, September 20th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home and Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
