Donna Lee Toohey's Obituary
Donna Lee Toohey, 79, of Lawrence, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at her home. She was beloved wife of 50 years to the late Raymond Toohey.
Born in Boston, Donna was the daughter of late Roger and Tania Wulleman and is the loving mother of three children, Keith Toohey and his wife Jill from Westbrook CT, daughters Tammy Toohey of Lawrence, and Kerri Gibson of Warren, MA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Keith Jr, Kristopher, Tessa, Jason, Kristy, Tara, Emalee and Zoe, as well as six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Donna is also survived by her brother Roger Wulleman and his wife Gwen. She was loving mother-in-law to her late son-in-law James Gibson who was Kerri’s husband. She was predeceased by her sister Joyce Doyle.
Donna attended North Reading High School. She was a dedicated housewife who enjoyed taking care of her family and her many pets, always having special dogs who needed her by their side.
She was a Christian who loved God and knew the grace and mercy Jesus provides for us all. Donna had a real love for nature. She was actively involved in wildlife rehabilitation teaching her children how to care for orphaned animals. Of all God's creatures she had a special place in her heart for birds. Donna also had a talent for quilting which she enjoyed doing with her husband. She enjoyed vacationing yearly in Maine with her family where she would fish, relax, and play games.
