I remember Donald so well from the South Congregational Church, where my mother, the Rev. Sylvia Robinson, was the pastor for 12 years. Donald, as head deason, was supportive of the missons and church activities that my mother brought before the Deacons. Each summer, for one week, the church hosted the Habitat for Humanity volunteers from out of state to a breakfast. Donald and Mr. Sullivan were instrumental in preparing the morning feast, complete with delicious coffee, and on more than one occasion invited in a street person who saw activity at the church to join us for coffee and the meal. I remember Donald for his warmth, friendliness, and engaging smile. He truly will be missed.
