Glen Clementi
Dear Mrs. Marcoux, Family & Friends of Donald, Growing up in Andover and on Donald's street was a wonderful experience. I remember as a little boy how Donald & I used to play in my boat shaped sandbox together. Then throughout the week, he would bring our mail into the house (what a helpful guy). On Saturdays, he would come into the kitchen, pull up a chair, sit down at the table & have a cup of coffee & a donut or something tasty to eat with us. After a little while, we'd go down the barn, feed the horses, clean the stalls & do other various tasks that my father, Joe Clementi would give us to do. Although Donald was 19 years older than me, he seemed like a big brother to me and was certainly a close friend. My family & I love Donald and we know that he is in a better place, heaven! Just today, some of my missionary friends and I were talking about Donald. I told them how that when I was very young, I asked Donald if he knew for sure that he would be in heaven one day. He said, yes, Jesus saved me. Wondering if he knew what that meant, I asked him if he understood this, he said, yes, Jesus died for me and went to heaven for me. Wow, I was amazed, very few people understand this concept and accept this Biblical truth, but Donald had! Besides this, I know for sure that Donald was one of the smartest people I ever knew. Although he never excelled in school, he knew so many things, although he never spoke loudly or took center stage, he knew not to argue with people or speak rudely. Donald didn't like to talk poorly about others but he understood a good joke; he never put anyone down but he always encouraged everyone. If these things aren't smart and intelligent, then I don't know what is. Donald, you're alright in my book and the Clementi family loves you dearly & we will miss you greatly! Love your eternal friend, Glen Clementi PS Thanks for being my life-long friend! PPS Mrs. Marcoux, sorry I couldn't be there in person to comfort you in your loss, know that my prayers are with you!
