Donald Murray (Ducky) Delaney's Obituary
Donald Murray Delaney (Ducky), 87 of Danville, NH passed peacefully on October 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family on the birthday of the United States Navy Birthday which is on October 13, 1776.
He was married for 60 years to the love of his life, Jacqueline Dube Delaney, formerly of Salem, New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas V Delaney and Mary Lingier Delaney; his brother's Thomas and his wife Elizabeth, his brother Francis and his wife Grace, his brother-in-law Edward (Eddie) Dube and his first grand child Brian Devanney. He is survived by his brother John (Jack) and his wife Lynn of Bradford, MA, and sister-in-law Diane Dube. He is also survived by his four children, son Donald and his wife Tami and stepson Daniel of Manchester, NH son Shaun and his wife Shellie of Hampstead NH, and four grandchildren Chantal and her husband Paul, Brianna, Cambria and Shea; daughter Colleen Devanney of Exeter NH, daughter Kristin and her husband Brendan of Danville, NH, and two grandchildren Alexandria and her husband Nicholas, and Michael and his partner Elizabeth. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and two great grandsons Harrison (Harry) and Leo.
He was born in Lawrence MA on April 7, 1936. Attended AB Bruce Elementary school and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1954. He proudly enlisted in the United States Navy for six years. He worked at Textron and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed many years of coaching baseball, men's street hockey (Eddie Man's), boating and spending time with his family. Ducky was also an Elks member.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on October 26, 2023, at 10 AM at Saint Joseph Church in Salem NH.
Friends and family may call on October 25, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA.
