Delores C. (Geeraert) Vallario's Obituary
Mrs. Delores C. (Geeraert) Vallario, 80, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, October 30th, 2011 at the Academy Manor Nursing in Andover, MA. She was born on April 4th, 1931 in Lawrence to the late Gustav Alfonse and Hilda (Hembrough) Geeraert. Delores was educated in the Hancock Elementary School, she was a graduate of the Lawrence High School, Simmons College in Boston and the Nursing School also in Boston. She was currently a practicing Jehovas Witness at Kingdom Hall in Methuen, MA. Delores taught at the Nursing Program in the Lawrence General Hospital, she taught in the Visiting Nurses in Haverhill and was Head Nurse of Maternity at the Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen. According to her family, Delores and her husband shared the love of classical music and were members of the Metropolitan Opera of Boston. She was an avid reader and was very intelligent woman. wife of the late Thomas A. Vallario who passed on August 22nd, 1998. her children: Mark T. Vallario of New York Licia M. Vallario of Lawrence, MA Carla M. and her husband Daniel J. McCarthy of Methuen, MA. her grandchildren: Daniel Joseph McCarthy, IV Shaun T. McCarthy Toni Alyssa Vallario Clark As well as several nieces and nephews.
