David J. Bradstreet's Obituary
It is with great sadness to announce that David has passed on after a long heart and kidney struggle. He will be joining his mother Josephine Bradstreet, his sisters Jackie Tatlis and Janet Maclellan and his favorite mother-in-law Margaret Nimerowski. David was a graduate of Lawrence High School and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from U.N.H. which he put to great use in his career in management working for Millipore and Bedford and Jeffrey as Plant Manager. He also worked in Puerto Rico as a General Manager and in Limerick Ireland as a Plant Manager. David had also worked at Nutramax as a Vice President and General Manager as well as at Necco as a Plant Manager. David loved all his jobs and those who knew him loved him back.
David’s retirement pastime was bartending at the Rocky Club and golfing with his gang of good friends: Bill Lees, Dennis Jones, Laurie O’Donnell, Peter Nimerowski, and Mike Valaskatgis. He also enjoyed his Sunday visits with his grandson Adam to debate their Political Issues.
David is survived by his wife of 53 years Diane M. (Nimerowski) Bradstreet, his son Keith Bradstreet and his wife Andrea Bradstreet, his daughter Dena Bradstreet, his grandchildren: Adam Bradstreet, Colin Bradstreet, Keira Bradstreet, Antonio Figueroa, and Corina Bradstreet. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Elaine Coletta and her partner Mike Valaskatgis, brother-in-law Peter Nimerowski and his wife Joan Nimerowski as well as four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
At David’s request there will be no calling hours as his request is for cremation and having his ashes blessed and then to be brought home and placed near his T.V. and favorite chair. His sense of humor, generosity, and easy-going style will be sorely missed. A special thanks goes to our daughter-in-law Andrea Bradstreet for making it possible for David to receive a Special Blessing with a priest before his passing, as well as the Lawrence General Hospital 5th floor, the Emergency Room, and the High Pointe Hospice House for the kindness and care that David was given.
