Mr. David A. Blanchette's Obituary
David A. Blanchette, 82, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born and educated in Lawrence, David was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and later went on to receive his Associates Degree from the University of Lowell. David retired from Hampshire Chemical Company where he had worked as a Systems Analyst. He had served in the United States Army and was a lifelong member of the Lawrence Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. #65. David was a devout member of St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence as well as a dedicated family man.
The son of the late Roland and Annette (Damphousse) Blanchette, as well as husband of the late Dorothy Y. (Shin) Blanchette, family members include his daughters Regina M. Toupin of Lawrence, MA, and Kimberly J. Kaloudis and her husband Costas Kaloudis of Melbourne, Australia and his son Charles M. Blanchette and his wife Susan M. Blanchette of Pepperell, MA. David was the father of the late Cynthia A. Blanchette and brother of the late Jack Blanchette. Other members of his family include his brothers: Mark Blanchette and his wife Rosalie Blanchette of Apple Valley, CA, Peter Blanchette and his wife Joyce Blanchette of Salisbury, MA, and Paul Blanchette and his wife Maureen Blanchette of San Ramon, CA. David is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday morning prior to the services from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M.
