Daniel J. Luciano's Obituary
Daniel J. Luciano, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Lawrence, MA on Monday February 24, 2025. Daniel was born and raised in East Boston and later moved to Billerica MA where he and his wife Patricia raised their family. In his later years, he made his home in Lawrence MA, sharing cherished times with his daughter Robin and her partner Eddie. He was the youngest of three children of Nicholas and Anna Luciano. Daniel was a lover of movies and music, his “occasional” cigarette, and of course his coffee. Daniel had a deep passion for history and politics and was an avid reader of books. He enjoyed his trips to Disney World, day hikes in the White Mountains, summer vacations at the cottage, Sunday dinner at his parents, and board games with his family.
Daniel had a great sense of humor and a strong work ethic. He found his passion in sales. When he was a boy, he would try and sell everything and anything. From that foundation he began his journey in men’s fashion, working first at Kennedy’s and then Macy’s where his impeccable taste and warm personality left an impression on his colleagues and customers alike. It was easy to be his friend.
He married his childhood sweetheart Patricia Whiteside of Revere MA and although their paths eventually diverge, she remained the love of his life. Together, they built a family filled with love and cherished memories.
Daniel was the devoted father of Daryl and Abbey Luciano of Littleton MA, and Robin Luciano and her partner Edward Leger of Lawrence MA. He was the dear brother of Carol Ballou and Vincent Luciano, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his grandchildren, Catherine and Alexandra Donahue, and Heather and Eric Luciano, who he adored and brought immeasurable joy to his life. Daniel was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews who meant so much to him and he would look forward to the time he spent with them. He will be missed immensely.
