Daniel Boyd Greeley Sr.'s Obituary
Daniel Boyd Greeley, Sr., 81, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
The son of the late Frank and Bernice (Miller) Greeley, Daniel was born in Newburyport, MA and attended Amesbury High School. He went on to continue his education while serving in the military. Daniel was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in both the Army and the Air Force Reserves. He had been stationed in Istanbul Turkey while serving in the Air Force. Daniel had worked for the former Western Electric for 50 years prior to his retirement. He was both a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for many years. Daniel was an avid Photographer and enjoyed going camping. He also enjoyed going for walks as well as going to the Donut Shop.
Members of Daniel’s family include his wife of 54 years Marylyn J. (Jacklin) Greeley, his children: Daniel B. Greeley, Jr. and Debra A. Maffeo both of Methuen, MA, his grandchildren: Nicole Greeley, Brianna Twomey, Ashley Twomey, Austin Greeley, Devin Greeley, Kyle Greeley and Shane Maffeo. Daniel is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
