Cynthia (Vaughan) White's Obituary
Cynthia White, Aged 87. Born in Lawrence, MA and longtime resident of Andover, MA, Cynthia resided in Chester, NH and passed peacefully at home with her family by her side following an illness. Cynthia leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years Henry White of Chester, daughter Priscilla and husband Francis Hebert of Salem, NH, son Thomas White of New Boston, NH, son, Steven White and wife Katie of Chester, NH, sister Susie Hall of Andover, MA and brother Arthur Vaughan of North Andover, MA. She is predeceased by her three brothers, Robert, Alan and Weston Vaughan. She loved dearly her grandchildren Nicholas, Garrett, Jason, Brittany and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Growing up in Andover, MA, Cynthia met the love of her life, Henry and raised three children, continuing to reside in Andover. She took on many occupations: working at Raytheon, the Andover school system as both a volunteer and custodian, the town recreation department, taking on childcare jobs, eventually managing a kitchen in the Andover school system. After moving to Chester, NH in 2003, She worked at Chester Academy as a paraprofessional, helping out children with needs in the classroom. She also managed the office and bookkeeping for Henry’s excavation business until her son Steven took over the company in 2018. Her favorite of her many positions, however, was that of homemaker. Cynthia and Henry were married 66 years, and she had a deep dedication and loved her family with all she had. She was a giver and would enjoy family gatherings, surrounding herself with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed many activities like square and round dancing, clogging, traveling with her family and friends, camping with a travel trailer, RV and time at their camp in Canaan NH. Cynthia regularly gave to many charities and had a deep faith and love of God, often quoting scripture as she had a love of sharing the word. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Alzheimer’s research foundation. The family would like to send deep thanks to the Elliott Hospital Hospice team, her caregivers and many family members who took time to be with her throughout her journey. Calling hours will be at the John Breen Memorial Funeral home Inc. 35 Merrimack Street in North Andover, MA Saturday July 11th from 9 to 11
