Constance Louise (Joy) "Connie" Cronin's Obituary
Constance Louise (née Joy) “Connie” Cronin, 89, of North Andover, Massachusetts.
Connie was born into eternal life on July 23, 2026, after a brief illness, at The Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born on August 25, 1936, in Worcester, MA, where she grew up. Connie was the daughter of the late William H. and Madeleine (Tardif) Joy.
She attended and received her RN degree at Worcester City Hospital. She worked at Beth Israel Hospital, Mass Eye and Ear, and as a Visiting Nurse. She also spent many years as a loving wife to the late John A. Cronin, and a loving mother to four children who survive her. A deeply devout Roman Catholic, she was a daily attendant at Daily Mass at St. Michael Church, North Andover for many years.
She was also very active in the pro-life movement in many ways. And she was an active volunteer in the Special Needs Religious Education at St. Michael’s.
She is survived by her four children, John Cronin of North Andover, Anne Marie and her husband Darren Tennison of Federal Way, Washington, Daniel Cronin and Linda of Haverhill, and Christopher Cronin and Gwen of Warren, Rhode Island. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Brady Tennison, Wyatt Cronin, Ella Cronin, Cerys Robinson and her husband John, and Sasha McCabe. And she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held from 4-7 PM Wednesday, July 29th, 2026 at the John Breen Memorial Funeral, 35 Merrimack St. North Andover,
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, in Lawrence. For online condolences and other information please visit us at https://www.breenfuneralhome.com.
