Claire Slauter's Obituary
Claire (Chamberlin) Slauter, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at her home in Salem, New Hampshire.
She was born on July 12, 1934 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Paquette) Chamberlin. Claire grew up in North Andover and was a graduate of Johnson High School. She worked for many years as an Agent for Cooper Power Industries and in the secretarial field at Lucent Technologies, the former Western Electric. She married Andrew in 1956 and settled in North Andover, raising two sons. Claire was a meticulous homemaker who enjoyed reading, birds, gardening, traveling, sewing, baking, cooking and shopping. She especially liked a good game of scrabble.

Her sons Michael Slauter of Hampton, NH and his significant other Tami Coughlin of North Andover, MA. and Steven Slauter and his wife Cynthia Slauter of Katy, TX
Her brother Frank Chamberlin of Hampton, NH
Her 4 grandchildren: Ashley Gallagher and her husband Patrick of Concord, NH, Kali Slauter and her significant other Corey of Rye, NH, Stephanie Steudel and her husband Zachary of Springtown, TX, Samatha Slauter of Katy, TX and great grandson Bennett Steudel.
Claire was predeceased by her sisters June Foulds and Mary Houde and daughter-in-law Sandy Slauter.
Claire was an extremely loving, generous and giving person. Family always came first.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, No. Andover, MA. Her funeral service will take place at the funeral home immediately following the calling hours, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
