Charles Ernest Yates Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Ernest Yates, Jr., 68, of Lawrence, MA., passed away on September 9th, 2022 of a sudden illness at Holy Family Hospital.
Survived by his wife Priscilla (Couture) Yates which he shared 44 years of marriage. His daughter Shannon Marie Yates, Sons Charles Ernest Yates III and wife Jolean, James Yates and wife Yulissa, Shawn Yates and wife Veronica and Stepson Anthony Murphy. His brothers George Yates, Ralph Yates and Roy Yates. His sisters, Roberta Allen, Penny Johnson, Sandra Galloway, Sueanna Alexander and predeceased by Donna Hilton.
Charles worked as a second-class fireman in the boiler room at the Holy Family Hospital. Charles loved and was generously loved by his grandchildren Charles Ernest Yates, IIII, Jovan Soto, Albert Burns, Tawnee Burns, Cayden Yates, Felicity Burns and Lucas Yates.
His hobbies included fishing with his children, watching the Jets, riding his motorcycle and going on road trips. For anyone who knew Chuck, his favorite saying was “Fire in the Hole” and “Git-R Done.”
He will be sorely missed by several of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and he was adored by his Aunt Gloria Jordan.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, September 16th, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
