Carol A. (Lavin) Zahn's Obituary
Carol A. (Lavin) Zahn, 88, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at The Vantage at Andover.
Born in Lawrence on October 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Laura D. Lavin. Carol was a proud graduate of Lawrence High School and a devoted parishioner of Saint Patrick’s Church.
Carol dedicated more than 25 years of her life as a Social Worker with Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, where she compassionately served countless families. She was a longtime member of the LAOH Hibernians and the Ladies Sodality of Saint Patrick’s Church in Lawrence.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard G. Zahn and the cherished mother of the late James M. Zahn.
She is survived by her loving sons, Brian P. Zahn of Lawrence, MA, and Kevin S. Zahn and his wife Nicole of Methuen, MA; her cherished grandsons, Michael, B. Patrick, and Kegan Zahn; her former daughters-in-law, Christine (Zahn) Leoncyk of New Hampshire and Patricia Zahn of New Hampshire; as well as several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, services are private. Arrangements are under the care of the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., North Andover, MA and Lawrence, MA.
