My family and I were privileged to be part of a tradition of getting together each year to honor a family member's life and passing. We would attend her Mass and go out to eat. We looked forward to that evening every year and are grateful to have had that time getting to know Carlos. He was wise, humble, generous, and joyful. His wife, Gloria, had me over to her house one time. I will always remember her giving us cake for dessert and when she served herself she took part of her piece and gave it to me. She said she was taught as a child to always think of others in absolutely everything we do. They were a special couple. My family will miss him and am very sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul.
