Betty Mae Cavarretta's Obituary
Betty Mae Cavarretta, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She is the loving daughter to the late Edward Stokes and the late Shirley (Hadley) Cross. Betty was also the widow of the late Phillip Cavaretta.
A lifelong resident of Lawrence, she attended the Lawrence Public Schools. Betty spent her life caring for others and had worked as a CNA and Home Health Care worker for many years. She then took her heart and skills to care for neighbors in the building she lived in for the last 20 plus years. In her free time Betty loved to play Bingo Cards and Pokeno with family and friends.
Betty is survived by her sons: Mark and his wife Kelly, Fred and Philip, a daughter Stacy Tylus, grandchildren: Jakayla, Ashleigh, Amber, Nariah, Brittany, Aaron, and Arielle. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Kyleigh, Lillian, Sawyer, Ezra and Nolan, a brother Edward Stokes and sisters Ann and husband Willie Rosario of Florida, Sylvia Rivera, Shirley Jean Levasseur, Sandra Rodriguez and Mary Risatti. Betty is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and her good friend Ann Marie Morreau. She was predeceased by her brothers Johnny and Walter and lifelong friend and sister-in-law Patricia Stokes.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
