Miss Scott was my first grade teacher at the Corliss School in 1960. All these years later, I remember her with great fondness and remain thankful that she taught me to love reading. She was the gold standard by which I measured all of the teachers who came into my life thereafter. My condolences to her family on the loss of this great lady.
