We've lost an icon of generosity, responsibility, honesty, and caring to all who met her when we lost Mrs. Fitz.A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to her family, who reflect her values in their lives each and every day. We'll miss our discussions with her of the Red Sox and Patriots and any political subject that made the news. God rest her soul.
" Aunt Bea"....it conjures up such happy thoughts of a sweet, kind, modest and pretty woman. All of of her many, many nieces and nephews loved her as well as another generation of grand nieces and nephews. She was the last Demers of her generation, and so fitting that she spent her whole single and married life living in the old homestead on Stevens Street.Now she has been called home to be reunited with her beloved " Fitzy"and the brothers and sisters she loved. We shall miss her, but at 98 we know it was time for her to finally rest and go to a better place.God speed, Bea, you finished the race, and kept the faith.
