Barbara R. (Sullivan) Garneau's Obituary
Barbara R. (Sullivan) Garneau, 87, a resident of North Andover, MA., passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Meadows in North Andover. Born in Lawrence, Ma., Barbara was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She then went on to graduate from Salem State College. Barbara had worked for the Merrimack Cooperative Bank. She was a volunteer with the Salvation Army and was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in North Andover. The widow of Robert L. Garneau, Barbara was sister to the late Cornelia Saya, Francis Sullivan, and William Sullivan, and aunt of the late Mary Bennett. She is survived by her nieces: Julie Doherty of Portland, ME., Frances Horne of Green Harbor, MA., and Christine Wilson also of Portland, ME. She is also survived by her nephew: James Sullivan of Boston, MA. and a sister-in-law: Jean Sullivan of Portland, ME., as well as several great nieces and great nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michael's Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, also in North Andover. Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA.
