Barbara Ann (Spence) Robinson's Obituary
Barbara Ann (Spence) Robinson, 87, a resident of North Andover, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in East Providence, R.I., Barbara was retired from Raytheon where she had worked in Security. Prior to that she was the first African American bail bonds women in the Roxbury and Dorchester area. The daughter of the late Gideon and Rowena (Pine) Spence and the widow of Paul Robinson, she was the mother of 11 natural children and 6 foster children as well as numerous grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by 1 brother Gideon Spence of Vermont. Family and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Everyone is invited back to the home of Dennis and Barbara Burroughs at 599 Turnpike St. North Andover, MA immediately following the service.
