August "Gus" Serverius' Obituary
August Serverius, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 22, 2022 at the Country Center For Health in Newburyport at the age of 89.
August (Gus), husband of the late Lorraine (Dube) Serverius, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the son of the late Ferdinand and Clara Serverius.
Gus was educated in the Lawrence school system. In addition to many jobs over his lifetime, including The Red Tavern and Morin’s Bakery, Gus worked for more than 40 years in House Keeping at Lawrence General Hospital before his retirement. He also worked at one of the Salem Market Basket’s for several years during his retirement. Gus was also involved in the Boy Scouts, as a troop leader, and volunteered with his wife, Lorraine, at the Bread and Roses Kitchen.
Gus enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, local travel, visiting casinos, watching wrestling and shopping. He also had quite the sense of humor.
Gus is survived by his children Anne Murphy and her husband, Brian, of Methuen, Joanne Ring and her husband, Edmund, of Derry, NH, Robert Serverius of Tewksbury, Kenneth and his wife, Rosanne, of Concord, NH, Lori Ann and her husband, Richard, of Mesa, AZ, Timothy and his wife, Tammy, of Haverhill and Dennis and his wife, Linda, of Lawrence. Gus is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gus was predeceased in death by his children Eugene Serverius, Doreen (Serverius) Robichaud and Donald Serverius. He was also the brother of the late Albert and Frank Serverius.
