Arlene R. Keleher's Obituary
Arlene R (Whitney) Keleher, 81, of Methuen, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 23rd at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born and raised in Lawrence, MA, and was a member of the Lawrence High School Class of 1957.
She was a retired telephone operator for New England Telephone. Her hobbies included gardening, coin collecting, reading, playing bingo, puzzles, going to Salisbury Beach, comparing notes on the daily paper crossword and the outings with her dear friends. She capped every evening with a nightly call from her loving niece, Wendy. She enjoyed family car trips to Skip’s for burgers and ice cream. She loved using every single inch of her kitchen, always experimenting with newly shared recipes to have goodies to bring to her friends, family, and neighbors. Christmas was a year round event in her heart and rarely went shopping without picking up a ‘little something for someone’. The annual after Thanksgiving dinner rounds of Scrabble were the games of the day. She also enjoyed day trips to Foxwoods with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, James A Keleher Jr.
She will be missed by her children, Patricia Trum and her husband, Eric, John Keleher, Tim Keleher and his fiancé Angela Pero, and Julie Keleher.
