Anthony D. Perillo's Obituary
Anthony D. Perillo, 77, a resident of Bradford, MA and formerly of Methuen and Lawrence passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Steward Holy Family Hospital in Methuen,
Born in Lawrence, Anthony was educated in the Lawrence Schools and then served the United States Naval Reserve entering in May of 1963. After being discharged in April of 1964, he went on to serve in the United States Army Reserve until being discharged as a Sergeant in December of 1979. While serving with the Army, Anthony became a Rifleman and a Grenadier as well as a team leader. He was a member of local 175 since 1968 and retired in 2000. He had also plowed for the City of Methuen from 1985 to 2020. Anthony had been a member of the Lawrence Pontiac Chieftains Drum Corps in the 1980’s. He loved 1950’s oldies and Doo-wop. He was an avid drum player and had a band in his younger days called Tony D. and the Beltones. Anthony was a very devout catholic and had a very strong devotion to the Blessed Mother.
The son of the late Anthony A. and Marie (Purpura) Perillo, members of his family include: His wife of 29 years Jacqueline A. (Staples) Perillo, children: Lori Perillo and her husband Bassem Hassan of Haverhill, MA, and Kristin (Perillo) Tarabay and her husband Wissam Tarabay of Bradford, MA. Anthony was the father of the late Anthony J. Perillo who passed away in 2007. He is also survived by a sister Carol Torrisi and her husband Joseph Torrisi of Methuen and was brother to the late Marie Sinkiewich. Anthony is also survived by his grandchildren: Shayla, Katlyn, Daniel, Adham, Tiah, Valerie and Anthony, as well as several nieces and nephews.
