Anne M. (Chiluk) McCarthy's Obituary
Mrs. Anne M. (Chiluk) McCarthy, 87, of North Andover, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, February 14th, 2007 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Home. Born in Lawrence on June 27, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Natalie and Roman Chiluk, both Russian immigrants. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and the Bryant McIntosh Business School. Anne was an employee of the City of Lawrence and the school department for 25 years. During her years with the school department she served as the secretary for the Frost, Saunders and the Salem Street Schools. She was a faithful parishoner of Saint Patrick's Church and a 50 year member of Our Lady of Sodality. In addition she and her husband enjoyed wintering in Florida and their annual visit to Saratoga. He love for the game of 45's is well known throughout the city. She was also an avid golfer and member of the Pine Ladies Golf League. Anne was a devoted wife and mother. She was predeceased by her Wonderful Husband of 58 years, Eugene C. McCarthy. Together they were the prior owners of both the Manhattan Lounge and the Calument Tavern. She is survived by her four Children: Daniel E. McCarthy and his wife Anne of Rochester, NH, Kathleen A. Borys of North Andover, MA. and her late husband W. Stephen Borys. Anne Marie Lambert and her husband James of Lawrence, MA., and Kevin E. McCarthy of Salisbury; 7 Grandsons: Stephen, Jay and Jeff Borys, Shaun and Kevin McCarthy, Jimmy Lambert and Daniel McCarthy, and 6 Great Grandchildren: Kelsey McCarthy, Jimmy Lambert, III, and Colby, Ashley, Tyler and Hailey Borys. She is also survived by loving family members; a sister-in-law: Alice McCarthy and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Patrick's Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA. Family and friends call on Friday, February 16th, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. 978-682-8381.
