Anne Marie Gauthier's Obituary
Anne Marie (Curran) Gauthier, 85, of North Andover, MA quietly passed away on Thanksgiving Day at High Pointe Hospice house surrounded by her family. She was born on May 30,1937 in Canton, MA to the late James and Gertrude (Healy) Curran.
Anne is a graduate of Canton High School. She graduated from Burdett Business College majoring in Secretarial Science. She also attended Académie Modern finishing school in Boston. Anne was employed at the Town Hall in North Andover, North Andover High School and as a Legal Secretary to the City of Lawrence. She retired from the city of Lawrence. She was an active member of Saint Michael’s Church in North Andover. She was a Vice President of the North Andover Women’s Club and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 8 in Lawrence, MA. She was also a leader of the Girl Scouts. In addition to the love and support she has always given her family and friends she was an avid bird watcher and loved walking at the North Andover Common and hiking in the White Mountains and enjoying the beach at Plum Island.
Anne is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert Royal Gauthier. She is survived by her two daughters, Tracey Gauthier-Peters and her husband Fran Peters of Andover, MA and Joanie Gauthier and and her husband Jack Simko of Newbury; her two sons Robert Royal Gauthier, Jr of Salem, NH and William Curran Gauthier and his wife Beatrice of Riverside, CA; her granddaughter Tonicia Hardy and her husband Robbie Hardy of Seabrook; her grandson Kurt Gauthier of Charleston, SC; her sister-in-law Joan Miller of Fairfield CA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, and her four brothers, James, Robert, William, and Paul Curran.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 30, 2022, at 11:30 am at St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA. Burial will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery at 177 Salem Street, North Andover. MA.
