Anna B. Hogan's Obituary
Anna B. Hogan, 96, of North Andover, MA, formerly of Lawrence, MA passed away peacefully in the care of High Point House Hospice in Haverhill, MA on December 17, 2017. A graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, she taught art in Stratford High School in Connecticut until her retirement when she returned to her Lawrence roots. An accomplished artist, her work has been displayed in several venues in the Lawrence area. Currently her work is displayed in the Stevens Library in North Andover and a complete exhibit of her wood engravings is in The Museum of Printing in Haverhill. She was extremely proud that one of her engravings was selected this year for the Wood Engravers Network juried exhibition.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary A. Hogan, John Hogan, Clare Gentile, Francis X. Hogan, Joseph Hogan, and her nephew David Hogan. She leaves sixteen nieces and nephews, and eight grand- nieces and nephews, and the many friends in the artist and church communities that were such an important part of her life.
A Funeral Mass will be held on January 13, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, MA. Burial will be private.
