Such a beautiful obituary!
I have two fond memories of Auntie Ann. Looking back now, they are funny, and at least today they make me smile! The first one was, I was maybe about 10yoa, and I was visiting with Auntie Ann for the day. For whatever reason we came in from outside, and the corner of her screen door pierced my skin. In a panic, Auntie Ann called my mother who took me to our local doctor's office where he stitched me up with no local anesthetic. Both Auntie Ann & I handled it like troopers. Today I still have that scar, and every time I see it, I smile and think what a great day that was with Auntie Ann!
My second one, I was over at Auntie Ann's visiting her for the day once again, and she gave me a hard butterscotch candy. I was young so of course, I ended up swallowing it and it got caught in my throat, but Auntie Ann was clever enough to have me drink warm water which actually melted the butterscotch in my throat that I was eventually able to swallow it. Another, fun filled day with Auntie Ann!
Auntie Ann was a strong woman, and I envied her tenancity. I'm so happy she is finally able to be with her family again! Love you Auntie Ann!
