Ann Marie Pilat's Obituary
METHUEN Ann Marie (Hannagan) Pilat, of Methuen, passed away on February 7, 2026, after a brief illness at the High Point House, Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Methuen on June 3, 1945, the daughter of the late Wilfred R. Hannagan and Rita V. (McDermott) Hannagan. Ann Marie was educated at St. Rita's Grammar School, St. Mary's High School, Northern Essex Community College, Suffolk University and Salem State University. She was employed by the City of Lawrence School Department as a teacher (K-12) for 35 years.
Ann Marie is survived by her husband, Raymond S. Pilat of Methuen; daughter, Lynne Ann Chase wife of William Paul Chase Il of Methuen; her son, Brian R. Pilat and his husband Brian M. McDermott of Buena Vista, NJ; two grandsons, Zachary Tyler Chase and Harrison Spencer Chase of Methuen; sister-in-law, Maria Alonso of Brookline, MA; brothers-in-law, Maurice T. Ferris of East Sandwich, MA, Roger F. Pilat and Katie Smith of Salem, NH; several nieces and nephews including Joseph A Murphy Jr. of Methuen; Keri Hannagan of Brookline; Maureen (Ferris) Joaquin and husband David Joaquin of Belmont; Andrew Ferris and his husband Robert Mitler of Boston; Melissa (Pilat) Wall and husband Robert Wall of Methuen; and Roger Pilat and wife Katie Smolen of Orlando, FL; as well as several cousins.
Ann Marie was predeceased by her brother William E. Hannagan, sister Joan C Murphy, sister-in-law Patricia A. Ferris, Cousin Robert McDermott of Lawrence and niece Lori Ann (Pilat) Desmarais
